Well, I’m writing to just say how impressed I am with this years crop of music tech camp students. These students are all going into 7-9th grade, and they have just finished composing a piece for full band. They are awesome! I already have one friend who wants to hear their pieces and possibly play them with his sixth grade band. It’s great that they wrote a beginning band piece because there is not a lot of good literature for that grade level.  All the wind parts have only quarter notes, half notes, and whole notes, and it only uses the first 6 notes of the Bb major scale. They’ve had a lot of fun writing the percussion parts as well. Well, if you’d like to hear it, go to the drop down menu at the right and the composers are listed under Music Tech Camp 08.
