Pitter-Patter From the Sky by James Moore

This is the 1st movement of a 6 movement composition that I’m working on.

The whole musical composition is called “Waterway”, and is a 6 movement (or 7, I haven’t really decided yet) compsition. This composition is not an assignment we were given in class, rather, I am writing it in my spare time. In this song, the music tells of a drop of water as it travels through the world. Each movement in this song is another point on the path of the water driplet.

This piece of music is not a class assignment. I wrote this song in my free time. I was trying to write a composition in the Classical/Baroque period style.

This song is written for a viola, 2 cello, and a bass. The song title is gibberish, but if you rearrange the letters, you get “Musical Composition in g minor for a Viola, 2 Violoncelli, and a Contrabass”

This song was played at the Woodbridge Orchestra Spring Concert on the 15th of May , 2008
